Multiple Application Server / Load-balancing

JOL is designed based on multi-tier J3T architecture that is organized into independent layers:

¡E User Interface (or Presentation Layer)
¡E Business Logic Layer
¡E Data Services Layer

Multi-tier architecture has the advantage of providing load-balancing application servers to handle transactions separately and efficiently. With the use of multiple application servers(up to 256 servers), enterprises will never face bottleneck issue during expansion.



Multiple Database Server / Clustering

JOL allows various modes of system configuration with the following three core segments:

¡E Database

These segments can be setup on one or more servers using Oracle clustering technology. Furthermore, with the use of multi-thread technology, the number of maximum concurrent users supported by Oracle database is five to ten times comparing to other database systems.










Multi Platform


Not only can JOL system be setup on multiple servers, each server can operate independently on different platforms. Java technology is designed based on the idea ¡§Write once, run anywhere¡¨. According to a research report by Peerstone Research, more organizations are setting up their ERP systems on Linux platform, instead of Windows or Unix platform.


Connectionless

Traditional client-server based system requires a permanent and stable connection between clients and servers. JOL system can operate on temporary and even unstable connections smoothly. Data is transferred in XML formats, and even if connection is lost, data transfer will start automatically again when connection is resumed. JOL system can operate efficiently in areas of unstable network connections, and will not cause data loss, machine hanged and forced-relogin problems because of network traffic or unstable connections, ensuring the highest level of system reliability.


Multi Language

In addition to from the instant switching feature in J3T system for English, traditional and simplified Chinese,

system can support multiple user-defined languages, including Japanese, Korean, German, French and Hebrew. These languages will apply to all import/export documents, management reports and user interfaces instantly to facilitate global business development.


Implementation Tools

Over 80% of organizations have spent significant amount on tailor-made system modifications. JOL, being a flexible system, allows users to customize based on their business needs. For example, the field label <product code> can be renamed to <P/N>, <description> can be renamed to <specification>. Users can even add new data fields and adjust existing data structures, for example, for every product in user interface, add the data field for <Packing format> (Text field), and for packing documents, add data fields like <distribution fee> (Numeric field) or <picking date> (Data field). Most importantly, organizations can redesign JOL user interfaces, documents and management reports with the powerful development tools provided with JOL system in order to cope with the rapid growing business needs.



Business Document Library

Every organization will handle large amount of documents, for example those relating to customers, vendors, tax, and customs ....etc. As these documents are often approved internally by various departments, users will find it extremely difficult to store them in a centralized system.


With the use of JOL system, all transactional records, for example sales quotations, sales orders and good receipt notes, can be well organized in the Business Document Library. Users and supervisors in various departments or branch offices can retrieve documents needed anytime and anywhere. This Document-on-Demand approach speeds up document flow internally, and allows verifications of data entry in system, for example records of customers and suppliers.
